今回は、アメリカの美容サロンで役に立つ英会話についてご説明しましょう。

欧米社会では、美容師として自分の名前をお客様に覚えてもらう時、ファーストネームの方が親しみがあって良いでしょう。また日本人の名前は外国人にとっては発音がしにくいこともあり、ニックネームを用意しておくのもよい手です。

• My name is Takayuki, but please call me Taka.

相手の名前を聞くときは、こちらも同様に外国人の名前に慣れてないわけですから、なかなか聞き取れないものです。その場合は

• I’m sorry. What’s your name again?

と遠慮なく聞きましょう。スペルを聞いておくのも良いですね。

• How do you spell it?

Taking an Appointment 予約を取るときお客様 ：Hello. I’d like to make an appointment for Monday.
こんにちは。月曜日に予約を取りたいのですが。美容師 ：Thank you! What time would you like to make the appointment?
ありがとうございます。何時頃ご希望ですか？お客様 ：Ten o’clock in the morning?
朝の10 時はどうですか？美容師 ：Yes, I’ll put you down.
May I have your name and phone number?
かしこまりました。お名前とお電話番号お願いします。美容師 ：We’ll be waiting for you at 10:00 on Monday.
月曜日の10時にお待ちしております。First Contact 初対面の挨拶美容師 ：Good morning! Welcome to KC!
いらっしゃいませ。お客様 ：Hello!美容師 ：Do you have a reservation with us today?
本日ご予約はございますか？お客様 ：Yes, I have an appointment.
予約してます。美容師 ：Right this way, please. / Please follow me.
こちらへお越しください。
Please have a seat, she/he will be with you shortly.
席にかけてしばらくお待ちください。他にも使えるフレーズ:

• It’s a pleasure to meet you!
• How is your day?
• How did you find out about us?
• Is it your first time here?
• Did you know about our promotion?

カウンセリング美容師 ：What would you like done today? 今日はどんなヘアスタイルにしますか？お客様 ：I would like Japanese straightening. 縮毛矯正をお願いします。美容師 ：Would you like something to drink? 何か飲み物はいかがですか？お客様 ：I’d like a coffee please. コーヒーをお願いします。Asking to Repeat繰り返してもらいたいとき

• I’m sorry?
• Could you repeat that, please?

Asking to fill out a form フォームに記入の頼み方

• Would you mind filling out this form?
• May I ask you to fill this out?
• Please fill this out.

シャンプー台美容師 ：もう少し上に頭をお願いします。
Could you move up a bit more please.
お湯は熱くないですか？かゆいところはないですか？
Is the water temperature okay? Do you have itchy areas?お会計美容師 ：Your total comes to $79.
税金込みで79ドルお願いします。お客様 ：OK!美容師 ：Out of $80.
80ドルお預かりいたします。
